  1. Guest Management

Preparing Guest List

πŸ‘₯ Overview

The first step in successful wedding management is preparing an organized and clear Guest List. Our primary goal is to collect accurate Names and Phone Numbers of all the potential guests attending the wedding. We then organize these guests into specific groups to streamline communication and planning.

Example: Wedding of Shrey and Rupali

Their wedding took place over 3 days: 26th, 27th, and 28th May. The guest invitation was as follows:

  • Some guests attended all three days (26th, 27th, 28th).

  • Some guests were invited only for two days (27th and 28th).

  • Some guests attended only one specific event (26th or the Reception on the 28th).

  • An exclusive after-party was arranged for close friends and cousins.

For efficient communication, Shrey and Rupali organized guests into the following groups:

  • 26th-27th-28th

  • 27th-28th

  • 26th

  • After Party

  • Test

Why a 'Test' Group?

Before sending a message to a larger audience, it’s crucial to test it with a smaller, trusted set of recipients. The 'Test' group should include the Bride, Groom, Event Manager, and select close family members overseeing wedding arrangements.

Tip: Create a group only if there is a specific message that will exclusively target that group. Keep the total number of groups below 10 to maintain ease of management.

Action Item:

Think about your wedding's specific needs and jot down potential guest groups clearly on paper or digitally.
