📢 What are AI Announcements?

AI Announcements allow you to create WhatsApp announcements using natural language prompts instead of manually selecting templates and filling in variables. Simply describe what you want to say, and our AI will:

  • Analyze your intent (RSVP request, save the date, logistics, etc.)

  • Select the best template automatically

  • Fill in template variables intelligently

  • Generate a preview for your review

This makes creating announcements faster, easier, and more intuitive than ever before.

🚀 How It Works

Step 1: Start AI Announcement

  1. Navigate to Announcements in your Weddingkart app

  2. Click on ✨ AI Announcement

  3. Select your wedding

Step 2: Write Your Prompt

Describe what you want to communicate to your guests. For example:

  • "Send a save the date for our wedding on December 15th, 2025 at the Grand Ballroom"

  • "Remind guests to RSVP by November 1st with a friendly tone"

  • "Share travel information and hotel booking details"

  • "Send a warm thank you message after the wedding"

Tips for Better Prompts:

  • Be specific about dates, times, and locations

  • Mention the tone you want (formal, friendly, casual, urgent)

  • Include key details like venue names, dress codes, or special instructions

  • Reference any attachments you plan to include

Step 3: Upload Attachments (Optional)

You can upload attachments to include in your announcement:

  • Images (JPG, PNG, GIF) - Photos, venue images, maps

  • Documents (PDF, DOC, DOCX) - Itineraries, menus, schedules

  • Videos (MP4, MOV, AVI) - Welcome videos, venue tours

To upload:

  1. Click Upload Attachment

  2. Select your file

  3. The attachment will be linked to your announcement

Step 4: Review and Customize

The AI will:

  1. Analyze your prompt to understand intent and tone

  2. Select an appropriate template from the Weddingkart library

  3. Fill in template variables based on your prompt

  4. Generate a preview showing how the message will look

You can then:

  • ✅ Accept the preview and proceed to send

  • 🔄 Change Template - Try a different template while keeping your content

  • ✏️ Edit Variables - Manually adjust any template variables

  • 🗑️ Delete Attachment - Remove attachments if needed

Step 5: Select Recipients and Send

  1. Choose your recipients (individual guests or groups)

  2. Review the final preview

  3. Click Send to deliver via WhatsApp

🔄 Changing Templates

If you want to try a different template:

  1. Click Change Template on the preview

  2. Select a new template from the list

  3. The AI will adapt your content to the new template

  4. Review the updated preview

Note: Some variables may need adjustment when switching templates, as different templates have different variable requirements.

📎 Attachment Management

Supported File Types

  • Images: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF

  • Documents: PDF, DOC, DOCX

  • Videos: MP4, MOV, AVI

Uploading Attachments

  1. Click Upload Attachment before or after writing your prompt

  2. Select the file from your device

  3. The file is uploaded to secure storage

  4. Attachment is automatically linked to your announcement

Viewing Attachments

  • Click View Attachment to see uploaded files

  • Verify file name, type, and size

  • Ensure correct attachment is linked

Deleting Attachments

  • Click Delete Attachment to remove files

  • Deleted attachments are removed from storage

  • You can upload a new attachment if needed

Important: Attachments are temporary until you send the announcement. Make sure to send the announcement to save the attachment permanently.

💡 Best Practices

Writing Effective Prompts

✅ Do:

  • Be specific about dates, times, and locations

  • Mention the tone you want (friendly, formal, urgent)

  • Include all key information guests need

  • Reference wedding details (bride/groom names, venue, date)

❌ Don't:

  • Use vague or ambiguous language

  • Forget to mention important details

  • Use overly complex sentences

  • Skip context about the wedding

Example Prompts

Good Prompt:

"Send a friendly save the date announcement for Krish and Malaika's wedding on December 5th, 2025 at the Taj Palace Hotel in Mumbai. Include a note that formal invitations will follow."

Poor Prompt:

"Tell guests about the wedding"

When to Use AI Announcements

✅ Best for:

⚠️ Consider manual creation for:

  • Highly customized messages

  • Complex multi-part announcements

  • Messages requiring specific template formatting

  • When you know exactly which template to use

🔍 Understanding AI Analysis

The AI analyzes your prompt to determine:

  1. Intent - What type of announcement (RSVP, save the date, logistics, etc.)

  2. Tone - Friendly, formal, urgent, casual, or warm

  3. Required Variables - What information needs to be filled in

  4. Suggested Values - Best guesses for template variables

This analysis helps select the most appropriate template and fill variables accurately.

⚠️ Limitations

  • Template Availability - AI can only use templates available in your Weddingkart account

  • Language - Currently optimized for English prompts

  • Complex Requests - Very complex or multi-part requests may need manual editing

  • Variable Accuracy - Review AI-filled variables for accuracy, especially names and dates

🆘 Troubleshooting

AI Selected Wrong Template

Solution: Use the Change Template feature to try a different template. The AI will adapt your content to the new template.

Variables Not Filled Correctly

Solution: Manually edit the variables after preview generation. The AI provides suggestions, but you can always override them.

Attachment Not Uploading

Solution:

  • Check file size (large files may take longer)

  • Verify file type is supported

  • Try uploading again

  • Contact support if issues persist

Preview Looks Incorrect

Solution:

  • Review and edit template variables

  • Try changing to a different template

  • Rewrite your prompt with more specific details

  • Consider creating the announcement manually
