Weddingkart enables you to send WhatsApp announcements to guests, ensuring smooth communication for wedding-related updates, invitations, and reminders.
An announcement in Weddingkart means that a WhatsApp message will be sent individually to multiple guests. This is not a WhatsApp group message or a broadcast list that you may be familiar with.
Each guest will receive the message as a personal WhatsApp message, making it more direct and engaging.
Replies from guests will come as individual responses to the sender.
Announcements ensure that each guest sees the message directly without it getting lost in a group chat.
A template is a pre-approved message format that ensures consistency, compliance, and quick messaging.
Weddingkart has created a library of ready-made templates for different types of announcements (e.g., RSVP requests, Save the Date, Event Updates, Travel Info).
Every time you create an announcement, you must choose an existing template.
If you need a custom message that is not available in the existing templates, you can request a new template from the Weddingkart team. Once approved, it will be available for use.
This process is required due to WhatsApp Business API policies, which regulate message formatting.
1οΈβ£ Navigate to Announcements
Open the Announcements section in the Weddingkart app.
Click Create Announcement.
2οΈβ£ Choose Announcement Type
Select the type of announcement:
Save the Date ποΈ β Notify guests about the wedding date.
RSVP Request β β Ask guests to confirm attendance with WhatsApp buttons.
Event Update π’ β Share schedule changes, venue details, or reminders.
Travel Information βοΈ β Request and collect guest travel details.
General Message βοΈ β Send a custom message to guests.
3οΈβ£ Choose a Template or Request a New One
Select a pre-designed template from the existing Weddingkart library.
If you need a custom message, request a new template from the Weddingkart team.
Once approved, the new template will be available for future announcements.
4οΈβ£ Select Recipients
Choose individual guests or guest groups.
If you select multiple groups, the union of guests will be taken (each guest will receive the message only once).
5οΈβ£ Send the Announcement
Click Send, and the message will be delivered via WhatsApp Business API.
Monitor delivery status (Sent, Delivered, Read).
Track guest engagement (RSVP responses, message interactions).
View detailed analytics in the Announcements Dashboard.
You can resend announcements to guests who havenβt responded.
We are working on a feature to allow targeted resends only to non-responders.
