Adding Guests via Excel Import

Uploading an Excel/CSV file is the most efficient way to add a large number of guests in Weddingkart. This ensures quick processing and seamless guest list management.
1️⃣ Navigate to Guest Management
Open the Guest Management section in the Weddingkart app.
Click on Add Guests → Upload Excel/CSV.
2️⃣ Select & Upload File
Choose your Excel/CSV file from your device.
Click Upload to begin processing.
3️⃣ Validate & Confirm Guest Data
The system analyzes the Excel file and detects any issues.
If the system does not understand any sheet in the Excel file, it will throw an error and will not proceed.
If at least one sheet is valid, but some rows contain issues (e.g., missing or badly formatted phone numbers), the system will show a warning.
You can either:
Ignore warnings and continue, or
Abort the import, fix the errors in the Excel file, and re-upload it.
4️⃣ Select Groups for Imported Guests
After proceeding, the system will show all the groups it detected in the file.
You need to choose the groups relevant to you.
Select a group only if you plan to use it later for sending targeted WhatsApp messages.
5️⃣ Finalize & Save
Click Save, and the guests will be added to your wedding.
You can upload an Excel file multiple times.
If a guest already exists in the system, reuploading will update their details, including:
Name changes (the name for that particular phone number will be updated).
Updated group assignments.
Any new guests found in the file will be added as fresh entries.
⚠️ Caution:
If you change a guest's name in Excel, the system will update the name for that phone number.
If you change a guest's phone number, the system will add the new number but will not remove the old number. You will need to manually delete old numbers if required.
To ensure a smooth upload process, format your Excel file correctly:
✅ Mandatory Columns:
Guest Name (Required)
Phone Number(s) – Up to 3 per guest (Required)
Group Name (Optional)
✅ Formatting Tips:
Ensure each guest has at least one phone number.
Phone numbers must include country codes (e.g., +919876543210).
Column headers should be clearly labeled.
Avoid special characters or unnecessary spaces.
Once uploaded, you can edit guest details individually in Guest Management.
If bulk updates are required, you can re-upload an updated Excel file.
